4 Infused Water Recipes, For Glowing, Healthy Skin

When It Comes To Your Skin, You Are What You Drink. 

Infusing water with fruits, vegetables, herbs and spices is an easy and quick way to get a delicious hydration boost throughout the day! Plus you can squeeze in a few extra benefits too, depending on what you infuse. 

One of the many benefits of making Infused Water drinks is the hit of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals it gives you. Antioxidants are especially important for skin health, in fact, they’re one ingredient that you can never have too much of. 

Every moment, of every day, our skin takes a beating from the environment and pollution, this leads to free radical damage. In terms of your skin, free radical damage can cause premature ageing, dull skin and loss of collagen. Antioxidants neutralize free radicals to protect your skin and body from damage. 

Here are our current favourite recipes, all rich in antioxidants for optimal skin health. 

Strawberry & Mint Infused Water

Ingredients

  • Strawberries 
  • Mint Leaves 

Method

  • Hull and slice up your strawberries, we used a whole punnet as our Drinking Vessel is fairly large (450ml) 
  • Pick a small handful of mint leaves 
  • Add both the sliced strawberries and mint leaves to your vessel, then insert the top part of your infuser and fill with filtered water
  • Screw on your lid or cover, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight

Blueberry & Orange Infused Water

Ingredients

  • Blueberries 
  • Orange

Method

  • Cut an orange into slices
  • Add a large handful of blueberries to your vessel along with slices of orange
  • Insert the top part of your infuser and fill with filtered water
  • Screw on your lid or cover, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight

Citrus Infused Water

Ingredients

  • Lemon
  • Blood Orange
  • Lime
  • Satsuma Mandarin 

    Method

    • Slice all citrus fruits and set the end pieces aside
    • Layer the slices in your Drinking Vessel
    • Insert the top part of your infuser and fill with filtered water
    • Screw on your lid or cover, and refrigerate for at least 5 minutes. The flavour will intensify quickly. Taste test and once you're happy with the flavour, enjoy 

    Apple & Cinnamon Infused Water 

    Ingredients

    • 1 apple, sliced
    • 3 cinnamon sticks 

    Method

    • Core and slice the apple
    • Add apple and cinnamon sticks to your Drinking Vessel 
    • Insert the top part of your infuser and fill with filtered water
    • Screw on your lid or cover, and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight

    Helpful Things

    • Adjust the ingredient amounts according to your vessel, there really isn't a right or wrong 
    • Refill as often as you like. Please allow time for the water to infuse again 
    • Citrus fruits impart flavour a lot more quickly than other fruits and vegetables. Adjust infuse time accordingly
